Mick Schumacher disappoints fans
Mick Schumacher has ended his two-year stint with the French endurance team Alpine, DPA reports.
It is still unclear where the 26-year-old German will continue his career, but specialized media speculate about a possible move to the IndyCar series in the USA, CE Report quotes BTA.
“I am grateful to Alpine Endurance for the past two years, as I learned a lot both on and off the track. I wish the team’s staff all the best for the future,” he wrote on Instagram.
Schumacher, the son of legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher, raced in the premier motorsport championship in 2021 and 2022 with the American team Haas. However, his contract was not extended, and at present a return to Formula 1 seems unlikely.
