Cristiano Ronaldo Engaged to Georgina Rodriguez

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is engaged to his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez.

She announced the news on social media, posting a photo of a large ring and writing in Spanish: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

No further details have been provided. Ronaldo, the most followed person on Instagram, has not yet commented on the engagement, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The couple has been together for nine years, having met in a Gucci store in Madrid where Rodriguez was working. At the time, Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.

The Al-Nassr player has five children, two of whom are with Rodriguez. Their youngest daughter, Bella, was born in April 2022, alongside a son who was stillborn. Rodriguez has also helped raise Ronaldo’s three other children.

The 31-year-old, who stars in her own Netflix series I Am Georgina, had previously addressed engagement rumors. In the show, she said her friends always joked about her wedding:

"Ever since Jennifer Lopez’s song 'The Ring or When' came out, they started singing it to me. Well, that doesn’t depend on me," she added.

Celebrities like Kim Kardashian liked the engagement post on social media. Piers Morgan, who interviewed Ronaldo in 2022, wished them a marriage “as successful as his football career.”

Famous makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury called it “wonderful news.” Lauren Sanchez-Bezos, who married Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in June, said she was “so happy” for the couple.

The family currently lives in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr. He joined the club in December 2022 on a reported annual salary of €238 million.

In June 2025, it was announced that the 40-year-old’s contract was extended until 2027, amid speculation that he was preparing to retire.

In a post on X, Ronaldo wrote: “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together.”
