Popovici Reaches 200m Freestyle Final
Romania’s David Popovici advanced to the final of the men’s 200m freestyle at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, posting the fourth-best time in Monday’s semifinals, CE Report quotes AGERPRES
Popovici, who led the heats with 1:45.43, won his semifinal in 1:45.02. However, three swimmers from the first semifinal were faster: Luke Hobson (USA, 1:44.80), Sunwoo Hwang (South Korea, 1:44.84), and Kamil Sieradzki (Poland, 1:45.00).
The final is scheduled for Tuesday at 14:02 Romanian time. Popovici previously won the world title in this event in 2022.
