Bulgarian Billie Jean King Cup player Lidia Encheva advanced to the singles final at the ITF clay tournament in Kursumlijska Banja, Serbia (USD 15,000 prize fund).

Second-seeded Encheva led Kristina Pochtovik of Ukraine 6-1, 2-1 before Pochtovik retired due to injury after 56 minutes, CE Report quotes BTA

The 18-year-old Bulgarian will face either top seed Anja Stankovic (Serbia) or Caijsa Hennemann (Sweden) in Sunday’s final.

Encheva recently rose 66 spots to a career-high WTA ranking of No. 584 after winning her first ITF clay title in Galati, Romania.
