Saraboyukov Wins Silver in U23 Long Jump

Bulgarian athlete Bozhidar Saraboyukov claimed the silver medal in the long jump at the European Athletics U23 Championships on Friday, CE Report quotes BTA

He jumped 8.21 metres on his third attempt — a season best and the second-longest of his career — briefly leading the competition. However, France’s Erwan Konate secured gold with 8.25 metres in the fifth round. Finland’s Kasperi Vehmaa took bronze with 7.97 metres.

Saraboyukov, who turns 21 on August 6, previously won gold at the European Indoor Championships in March with a jump of 8.13 metres.
