Mascherano told ESPN that although the game is not played in Europe and emotions are more subdued, Messi is capable of giving more when he has something personal on his mind. The match will also be special because many of Inter Miami's players, including Messi, Suarez, Busquets, Alba and Mascherano himself, played for Luis Enrique at Barcelona. They hold the current PSG coach in high regard, highlighting his influence both professionally and personally.
Mascherano admitted that he is personal friends with Luis Enrique, but said that on Sunday they will try to give their best to advance further in this prestigious competition.
