The Slovenian women's basketball team won its first match at the 40th EuroBasket, defeating Serbia 84:69.

The game took place on Saturday evening in Bologna, during the third match of the preliminary round in Group B, CE Report quotes STA.

Despite the victory, Slovenia placed third in their group.

This was not enough to secure a spot in the quarter-finals, so they are leaving the tournament.
