Albania’s U19 girls deliver impressive performance in Farkë tournament

The U19 national girls' volleyball team finished the group stage in third place in Group A, after a dignified performance in the tournament held at the Farkë sports hall.

In the final group match, Albania faced Romania in an exciting game decided only in the last points of the fifth set. Although they lost the first set, the red-and-black team reacted strongly, coming back to lead 2-1. The match ended with a narrow victory for Romania, 3-2, with the final set closing at 15-13.

Earlier, the Albanian girls had debuted with a win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, 3-2, while in the second match they were defeated by Serbia with a score of 3-1, CE Report quotes ATA.

With two tough matches and one win in the group, Albania ranked third and will now face North Macedonia, which finished third in Group B, for fifth place in the tournament’s final standings.

The match for fifth place will be played on Sunday at 14:00 in the Farkë sports hall. The U19 national team aims to end the tournament with a win to crown a promising performance for the future.
