Kosovo's Judo Stars Ready to Shine at World Championships

Kosovo is ready to shine again on the biggest stage of world judo! The World Senior Championships, which will take place from June 13 to 20 in Budapest, Hungary, will gather 557 judokas from 93 countries representing six continents, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Kosovo, a country that has shown continuous dominance in this sport with Olympic and world medals, will be proudly represented by three of its most famous names in judo:

Distria Krasniqi in the -52 kg category will compete on Saturday

Akil Gjakova in the -73 kg category will compete on Sunday

The Kosovo national team is led by head coach Driton Kuka, a big name in the sport of judo, accompanied by coaches Fatos Tabaku and Majlinda Kelmendi, an Olympic champion who has now moved into the role of coach and mentor of the new generation of champions.

This major event comes at an important period for Kosovar judo, which continues to be a symbol of pride for the national sport and a worthy ambassador of the state in the international arena.
