Moldovan athletes claimed an impressive 13 medals at the World Weightlifting Championships U-17 and U-20 in Lima, Peru. The national team earned four gold, three silver, and six bronze medals, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Danu Secrieru dominated the U-17 category (55 kg) with three gold medals. In the U-20 group, Alexandrina Ciubotaru secured Moldova’s latest honor in the 76 kg class. Dan Betca (67 kg) took gold in snatch, silver overall, and bronze in clean and jerk. Ion Badanev (61 kg) and Alexandr Baldji also brought home bronze medals, while Nicoleta Cojocaru (55 kg) earned silver in snatch and bronze in total.
