Dutch cyclist Tibor Del Grosso celebrated his first professional victory on Monday by winning Stage 2 of the 60th Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye in Antalya, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

The 21-year-old Alpecin-Deceuninck rider said the win was made even more meaningful by taking place in Türkiye: "It makes the moment even more special." Despite feeling unsure heading into the sprint, Del Grosso outpaced strong competition to secure the win.

Looking ahead, he expects Stage 3 to be more technical—a format he enjoys. Del Grosso also praised Türkiye’s warm weather, enthusiastic crowds, and local cuisine, especially baklava.

The historic tour, first held in 1963 as the Marmara Tour, spans 1,153 km across eight stages, highlighting scenic coastal cities before concluding in Izmir on May 4. This year’s edition includes 160 cyclists from 23 teams and is broadcast globally, showcasing Türkiye’s cycling appeal.
