Olympique Lyon Appoints Paulo Fonseca as New Head Coach

Olympique Lyon has named Paulo Fonseca as their new manager, replacing Pierre Sage with a contract until June 30, 2027, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

The 51-year-old Portuguese coach has built a strong reputation in Europe, known for his tactical expertise and success with clubs like Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Roma, and Lille.

Fonseca has won multiple titles, including the Portuguese Super Cup (2013), the Portuguese Cup (2016), and three consecutive Ukrainian Premier League titles with Shakhtar (2017-2019).

Most recently, he managed AC Milan but was dismissed in December after just six months in charge.
