Kobe Bryant's 20-year career with the Lakers earned him five NBA championships, 18 All-Star selections, the 2008 MVP award, and two Olympic gold medals. Known as the "Black Mamba," his "Mamba Mentality" inspired players and fans worldwide.

His final NBA game on April 13, 2016, featured a stunning 60-point performance, crowning an extraordinary career. Bryant also left a lasting mark on the international stage, helping Team USA secure Olympic gold in 2008 and 2012.

Following his passing, the NBA renamed the All-Star MVP award as the Kobe Bryant MVP Award. Murals honoring Kobe and Gianna continue to appear globally, cementing their legacy.

Beyond basketball, Bryant won an Academy Award in 2018 for his animated short film Dear Basketball. His impact extended far beyond the court, making him a cultural icon and a symbol of relentless dedication.

Bryant’s legacy lives on, with August 24 officially recognized as Kobe Bryant Day in Los Angeles, honoring the iconic jersey numbers he wore during his storied career: 8 and 24.
