Greek team Olympiacos Piraeus secured their place at the top of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings with a commanding 96-86 victory over Real Madrid on Thursday. French forward Evan Fournier led the charge with an impressive 28 points at Movistar Arena. Despite 17 points from Croatian forward Mario Hezonja, Real Madrid fell short. Meanwhile, Paris Basket defeated Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv 96-83 in a round 22 clash at Adidas Arena. US forward Tyson Ward contributed 18 points and eight rebounds for Paris, while Maccabi’s standout performers, Lithuanian guard Rokas Jokubaitis and US forward Jaylen Hoard, added 16 points each. Paris Basket are fifth with a 13-8 record, whereas Maccabi languish in 17th place at 5-17.

The EuroLeague action continues to deliver intense competition as teams fight for playoff positions.
