De Mevius and Brabec Dominate Stage Six of 2025 Dakar Rally

Belgian Guillaume De Mevius claimed victory in the car category, while American Ricky Brabec secured first place in the bike class during Stage 6 of the 2025 Dakar Rally on Saturday, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

De Mevius, representing Overdrive Racing, completed the 606-kilometer route between Hail and Al Duwadimi in 4 hours, 34 minutes, and 49 seconds. Portuguese driver Joao Ferreira (X-Raid Mini JCW T) finished second, 1 minute and 34 seconds behind, followed by five-time Dakar champion Nasser Al-Attiyah (Dacia Sandriders), who trailed by just over 2 minutes.

In the general classification, South Africa's Henk Lategan (Toyota Gazoo) retained the overall lead with a total time of 32 hours, 51 minutes, and 36 seconds, holding a 7-minute advantage over Saudi Arabia's Yazeed Al Rajhi (Overdrive).

In the bike category, Ricky Brabec (Monster Energy Honda) clinched victory with a time of 5 hours and 51 seconds. French rider Adrien Van Beveren (Monster Energy Honda) took second place, 23 seconds behind, while Chilean Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo (Hero) finished third, just 51 seconds off the pace.

Australia’s Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM) continues to lead the general bike classification with a time of 35 hours, 18 minutes, and 49 seconds, maintaining an 11-minute lead over Spain’s Tosha Schareina (Monster Energy Honda).

The seventh stage of the rally will take competitors across a 481-kilometer route in Al Duwadimi on Sunday. The event concludes on January 17 in Shubaytah.
