Sports

Italian football officials are investigating an alleged fascist gesture by fans after Romano Floriani Mussolini, the great-grandson of the fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, scored the winning goal in a weekend match. The Italian Football Federation is probing the actions of Juve Stabia supporters in Castellammare after Romano, 21, scored against Cesena in a lower-tier game. Footage showed fans shouting "Mussolini" and appearing to make a salute resembling the fascist gesture. Romano, on loan from Lazio, is the son of Alessandra Mussolini, a former Italian MP. Juve Stabia denied the allegations, claiming that their fans have celebrated goals in this manner for over a century, with arms raised to the sky to express joy after a goal is scored, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
