Ronaldo Nazário Announces Candidacy for President of Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF)

Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazario announced on Tuesday that he would run for president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

In an interview with Globo TV, Ronaldo emphasized the importance of football as a source of pride and hope for the Brazilian people, especially during difficult times. He expressed his desire to restore the national team’s prestige and respect, which he feels has been lost.

Ronaldo, 48, a World Cup winner in 1994 and 2002, scored 62 goals in 99 appearances for Brazil. Current CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues’ term ends in March 2026.
