Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama renewed his criticism of protesters opposing a planned tourism development in the coastal village of Zvërnec, southern Albania, contrasting what he called “flamingos” with “crows and ravens” in comments on social media.

“Flamingos and crows and ravens are separated by the same divide that separates peace from violence. The former want a better, fairer and cleaner Albania, while the latter want an Albania of hooliganism, violence and filth,” Rama wrote.

He added that “the flamingos will get what they seek, while losers of this protest will receive what crows and ravens deserve,” CE Report quotes ATA.

Rama also noted journalist Shpend Gashi, who was involved in a confrontation with police during a protest outside parliament.

Gashi was urging people who did not take part in the demonstration to join future protests.

Gashi, in his podcast, interviews the main opposition Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, telling him that his appearance had “made the studio bigger.”
