Bosnia detains group linked to online child pornography network
Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina), as part of the ongoing operational action “SISTEM 2026,” have deprived of liberty individuals with the initials S.S., S.J., D.Š., and V.K., all from Banja Luka.
They also arrested B.T. from Mrkonjić Grad, CE Report informs via the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska's official website.
The suspects are believed to have committed the criminal offense of “Exploitation of children for pornography” under Article 175 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska.
The operation was carried out by officers of the Criminal Police Administration in cooperation with the police departments of Banja Luka and Mrkonjić Grad. Acting on orders from the competent courts, they conducted searches at six locations used by individuals linked to the commission of the aforementioned criminal offenses.
During the searches, items used in the commission of the crime were found and seized, including computers, mobile phones, memory cards, and other devices for storing digital data, as well as a certain quantity of green plant material resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, along with other items that may be connected to the criminal offenses.
The suspects are believed to have, over a certain period, used social media and communication applications to access groups where child pornography content was shared, while some individuals are also suspected of having created storage space for keeping downloaded material.
Following the completion of the criminal investigation, a report on the committed criminal offenses will be submitted to the competent prosecutor’s office against the mentioned individuals.
