Most Americans disapprove of Trump on Iran policy
In a U.S. survey, 62% of participants said they were dissatisfied with President Donald Trump’s performance.
The survey, conducted by the University of Massachusetts Amherst from March 20–25, questioned 1,000 adults about Trump’s performance and his Iran policy, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.
The results showed that 33% of Americans "approved" of Trump’s presidential performance, while 62% were "dissatisfied."
Only 29% of participants supported Trump’s actions against Iran, while 63% disapproved of his stance on the country.
Regarding inflation, 24% said Trump did a "good job," while 71% described his performance as "not very good" or "not good at all."
The survey also noted that 33% of participants identified with Trump’s "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) slogan, either "partially" or "strongly," with 77% of Republicans and just 4% of Democrats reporting alignment.
U.S.-Israel actions against Iran
Israel and the U.S. launched military strikes against Iran on February 28, while negotiations were ongoing between Tehran and Washington.
Iran responded with attacks targeting Israel as well as U.S. bases in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain.
The strikes killed several high-ranking officials, including then-Iranian leader Ali Khamenei.
