The armed forces of the United States have sunk more than 30 Iranian vessels and struck nearly 200 targets on the territory of Iran over the past three days, said the commander of United States Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Bradley Cooper, during a briefing at the command’s headquarters in Florida.

According to the U.S. military official, recent operations also included a strike on an Iranian vessel capable of carrying drones, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.

“Just a few hours ago, we struck an Iranian drone carrier comparable in size to an aircraft carrier from the World War II era. It is currently burning,” Cooper said.

Earlier reports in the media suggested that the vessel Shahid Bahman Bagheri — the only drone carrier of the navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — had been sunk. However, these reports have not been confirmed with visual evidence.

Shortly before Admiral Cooper’s briefing, U.S. President Donald Trump said at the White House that American forces had sunk “24 ships in three days.”

The CENTCOM commander also stated that in the past 72 hours the U.S. military had struck nearly 200 targets inside Iran.
