King Charles and Camilla to visit Vatican soon
King Charles and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom will make a state visit to the Vatican on October 23, CE Report quotes ANSA.
They are expected to arrive the day before, but all official events are scheduled for the 23rd, beginning with King Charles’ arrival at 10:45 AM at the Cortile di San Damaso.
At 11:00 AM, he will have a private audience with Pope Leo XIV.
Later, the royal couple will take part in an ecumenical prayer service in the Sistine Chapel, followed by an event in the Sala Regia focused on care for creation.
Charles and Camilla’s visit comes during the Holy Year (Jubilee), echoing Queen Elizabeth’s visit to the Vatican during the Great Jubilee of 2000.
