Moldovan President Maia Sandu emphasized the shared vision of a peaceful and prosperous Europe during a meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov in Chisinau on July 27, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The two leaders discussed strengthening cooperation in energy, transport, and tourism. Sandu highlighted the special relationship between the countries, underscored by Moldova's Bulgarian community. She reaffirmed joint efforts to support cultural preservation and improve living conditions through investments in infrastructure and education.

Jeliazkov also met with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. His visit included talks with local officials in Taraclia and the signing of an agreement to transform the former University of Taraclia into a branch of Bulgaria’s Angel Kanchev University of Ruse.
