Greece Moves to Scrap Unfair ATM Fees
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced a new government amendment that will abolish unfair commissions charged by banks and ATM service providers. The new measure eliminates fees for ATM withdrawals from other banks within the DIAS system, as well as from third-party providers linked to the user's bank. It also sets limits on charges from independent service providers.
“Bank services must serve citizens, not burden them unfairly,” Mitsotakis emphasized.
