
Greek President Meets Greek-American Students
President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas met on Friday with Nick Larigakis, President of the American Hellenic Institute (AHI), and a group of Greek-American students visiting Greece and Cyprus as part of their 17th annual educational tour, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia
During the meeting, President Tassoulas briefed the students on key foreign policy issues, including Greek-Turkish relations and the Cyprus conflict. The delegation also toured the presidential mansion and the presidential guard.
“The Greek State embraces Hellenism everywhere as an inseparable part of its national existence and wishes to always stand by your side,” Tassoulas said. He stressed the importance of Greeks living abroad as a valuable national asset who continue to contribute to the country’s historical development, noting that “although you live far from Greece, I am certain you always carry the land of your ancestors in your thoughts and hearts.”
