Turkey, US Discuss Ukraine Peace Efforts

Politics

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone on Tuesday with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss peace efforts in Ukraine, diplomatic sources said, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

The call followed Monday’s Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul, where both sides agreed to expand prisoner exchanges—prioritizing the youngest and most seriously wounded—and to repatriate the bodies of 6,000 fallen soldiers each.

Fidan and Rubio also exchanged views on developments in Syria and Gaza.
