Korean artists bring “Harmony of Light” show to Rome debut
Movement becomes light, and light transforms into emotion.
This is the formula behind Harmony of Light, a show by Korean artists debuting on April 20 with its Italian premiere at the Teatro Olimpico in Rome, CE Report quotes ANSA.
Created in collaboration with the Accademia Filarmonica Romana and marking the tenth anniversary of the Korean Cultural Institute in Italy, the show is born from the meeting between Inpungnyu, a company of traditional performances from the Asian country, and Saeng Dong Gam (Charge of Vitality), the first group in South Korea to introduce Tron Dance, performed with LED lights.
On stage, more than twenty artists move among spectacular lighting and the most advanced stage technologies, blending dance and traditional Korean performing arts (Yeonhui), breakdance (b-boying), and K-pop with multimedia art. The audience will experience up close the latest artistic trends from the country, also appreciated by Western audiences.
Founded in 2002, Show Design Group Saeng Dong Gam is a performing arts collective made up of young creatives from different fields, united by a single goal: to bring new forms of artistic and cultural expression to life.
Through the fusion of pure arts and contemporary technologies, the group develops multidisciplinary content that goes beyond genre boundaries and aims for a new concept of stage creation. Thanks to collaborations with numerous television programs in Korea and abroad, Saeng Dong Gam has gained wide acclaim from both audiences and critics and stages over 200 performances each year.
