China Accuses U.S. of Fueling Space Arms Race
The U.S. is “pushing forward the Golden Dome system and deploying space weapons, constantly expanding its military apparatus and fueling an arms race in space,” CE Report quotes ANSA.
Such actions, commented Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang, “violate the fundamental principles of the Outer Space Treaty, increase the risks of turning space into a war zone, and triggering a space arms race, shaking the global arms control and security regime.”
“The U.S. actions will once again open Pandora’s box,” Zhang added during the monthly briefing.
