Highlighting recent electoral interference attempts by the Kremlin, Grosu emphasized that democracy and European values have prevailed: “When we are united, we are strong.” He pointed to citizen mobilization in Romania and Moldova as proof of the public’s commitment to peace and democratic governance.
Grosu also addressed Moldova’s security challenges, noting the presence of a foreign military force in Transnistria and attempts to destabilize the country through regional tensions. “Despite these vulnerabilities, we’ve preserved peace for four years,” he said.
Reaffirming Moldova’s European trajectory, he concluded: “Our path is clear – to build a free, safe, and European Moldova.”
Grosu spoke at two panels during the forum, discussing the situation in Transnistria and the impact of Russia’s hybrid warfare on Moldova. The event, held May 22–23, gathers regional and international leaders to assess security risks in the Black Sea and Balkans region.
