More than 1,600 people from across Moldova took part in the Parliament's Open Doors Day, celebrating 34 years since the founding of the legislative institution. Visitors explored key areas of the Parliament building, such as the plenary hall and the press conference room, while deputies led the tours and engaged with guests. Children enjoyed vintage car displays and craft workshops, while young participants took part in a knowledge-based treasure hunt.
Many attendees joined the “Give a Book” campaign, donating books to be gifted to children in need on International Children's Day. The event highlighted both civic spirit and public interest in Moldova’s democratic institutions.
Established on May 23, 1991, following the country’s first democratic elections, the current Parliament succeeded the former Supreme Soviet of the Moldavian SSR.
