Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner meet Russian delegation in Florida
U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner held talks with Russian representative Kirill Dmitriev.
Witkoff wrote about the meeting on the social network X, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
“Today (March 11 – ed.) in Florida, the Russian delegation led by Special Envoy Kirill Dmitriev met with the U.S. delegation,” Witkoff said.
It is worth noting the unusual order of wording – one would normally expect a U.S. representative to mention the American delegation first in his post and only then the Russian one.
In addition to Witkoff, the talks were attended by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and White House Senior Advisor Josh Gruenbaum.
“The teams discussed a variety of topics and agreed to stay in touch,” Trump’s Special Envoy added without providing any further details.
The previous similar meeting took place in Florida at the end of January.
As reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that due to developments in the Middle East, trilateral talks between the delegations of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia that were scheduled for this week have been postponed at the suggestion of the American side.
