German Embassy: Gjeravica Belongs to Kosovo, Not Serbia

Politics

Days ago, the German Embassy in Kosovo published a photo from the Kosovo mountains.

"The field trips in this wonderful place are truly impressive with such a stunning panorama in front of you. Greetings from the highest peak of Kosovo, Gjeravica and its stunning neighbors," the Embassy wrote on its official Facebook channel and above the photo, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

"Let everyone know that Kosovo is Serbia," "this is all Serbia," "I love the mountains of Serbia," "Gjeravica is the highest peak in Serbia." These were some of the negative comments that some Serbian citizens had made on the embassy's post on the social network.

Although there were numerous comments, all negative and filled with hatred towards the state of Kosovo, the German Embassy did not hesitate to respond to each of them, making the reality of Kosovo clear.

And some of the embassy's responses were that "Serbia is Serbia and Kosovo is Kosovo", "The mountains in this photo do not belong to Serbia", "Serbia is beautiful, and we agree. But this post is about the beauties of the mountains of Kosovo".

As a result of many such comments, the German Embassy was instructed to close comments on its post.

"We have decided to limit the comments section under this post due to the high volume of confrontational comments that do not encourage constructive debate or exchange of views. Our goal is to maintain a respectful and meaningful discussion platform," the embassy's announcement said.
