Kosovo, Albania and Croatia have signed a trilateral declaration on a military alliance. The agreement is said to aim to strengthen the three countries' defense capabilities, increase cooperation in the defense industry, and improve military interoperability through joint education, training and exercises, as well as improve military interoperability in the region, reports the Interfax news agency.

The signing of this memorandum took place in Albania, where the Albanian Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, received his counterparts from Kosovo, Ejup, with high military honors. Maqedonci and from Croatia, Ivan Anusic, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, said that the goal of cooperation is not a threat to anyone, but a message to those who intend to threaten the region.

"The purpose of this cooperation is not to threaten anyone, but rather to send a message to those who aim to threaten security, peace and stability in the Western Balkans, as well as the security of our countries. Our three countries, which share common values and interests, are united to confront any threat and danger that aims to destabilize the region," he said.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense of Albania, Pirro Vengu, said that the signing of this agreement is an important step for strengthening security and stability in the region, as well as for developing capacities in facing common risks and challenges.

"The declaration translates not only a political will, but also some priorities that we share together. It mainly has to do with the importance that our countries give to the re-establishment of the military industry and the need for our countries to cooperate even deeper and wider in this pillar of national security. The second point has to do with the cooperation that our armed forces will do, whether in training or in capacities," he said.

Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anusic said that this strategic development reflects the close alliance between the three states, linked by history, sacrifices for freedom and a shared vision for a secure future

"This cooperation will be based especially on providing assistance in the development of the defense industry, the implementation of all agreements we have signed so far. We now want to strengthen these and share the experience of our country as Croatia as part of NATO and the EU," Anusic stressed.
