At a joint press conference in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani highlighted the strategic importance of the Türkiye-Iraq Development Road Project. Erdogan said the initiative would significantly contribute to regional stability and prosperity, and voiced hope for swift progress on resuming oil shipments through the Iraq-Türkiye pipeline, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorist groups including the PKK, FETO, and DAESH. Erdogan also addressed rising tensions between Pakistan and India, noting Türkiye's efforts to prevent further escalation.

Al-Sudani called the Development Road Project a key step toward deeper integration between the two nations.
