Hungary, Azerbaijan open path to strengthen diaspora cooperation
Hungary’s Secretary of State for National Policy, Lörinc Nacsa, met in Budapest with Fuad Muradov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Work with Diaspora, to discuss issues of diaspora cooperation, according to a statement from the committee, CE Report informs.
Nacsa warmly welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation and stressed the importance of the meeting and the exchange of experiences. The parties held extensive discussions on modern diaspora policy strategies, future plans, and cooperation platforms.
Muradov highlighted Azerbaijan’s modern diaspora policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and outlined the activities of foreign “Azerbaijani Houses,” weekend Azerbaijani schools, Coordination Councils, and numerous other projects.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the Azerbaijani community in Hungary contributes to the development of relations between the peoples of the two countries through its projects, building on their shared historical roots.
The meeting was also attended by Azerbaijan’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, Tahir Tagizade, and the Head of the Azerbaijani House in Budapest, Ibrahim Safarli.
