North Macedonia's MFA provides emergency contacts for citizens in Middle East

The number of North Macedonian nationals who have reported being stranded in the affected areas in the Middle East is growing.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia told MIA that so far more than 150 North Macedonian nationals had contacted the embassies in Tel Aviv, Doha and Abu Dhabi seeking information on possible evacuation, CE Report quotes MIA.

The Ministry is in constant contact with all of them and if they want to be evacuated, steps will be taken to provide assistance for their safe return, it said.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade through its direct line and the diplomatic offices remains at full disposal to the citizens. We are once again urging all our citizens currently in the countries in the region to abide by the instruction of the local security authorities,” it says.

On Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia formed crisis headquarters available 24/7 to the citizens for all queries.
