Von der Leyen: Putin Wants Ukraine to Accept Unacceptable

Politics

“We have all seen how Russia negotiates.

It bombs.

It intimidates.

It buries promises under rubble.

Putin wants to force Ukraine to accept the unacceptable.”

These were the words of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, speaking at the European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg, CE Report quotes ANSA.

“A just and lasting peace—one that guarantees Ukraine’s sovereignty, respects its territorial integrity, and supports its European aspirations. This is the crossroads we face. And for Europe, the stakes are enormous. So we must do everything in our power to strengthen Ukraine’s position,” she emphasized.
