SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Socrates Famellos launched a strong attack on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, questioning his ability to remain in office. Speaking at a party event in Kilkis, Famellos accused the government of covering up the truth about the Tempi train disaster, which claimed 57 lives, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

He alleged that the ruling party concealed evidence from the Parliamentary Investigative Committee and silenced witnesses. "This alone is enough for a motion of no confidence," Famellos stated, emphasizing that the issue is a matter of democracy and accountability.

"You cannot maintain such a stance in a tragedy linked to railway safety," he added, vowing that SYRIZA would uphold the Constitution and seek justice for the victims.
