Young doctor joins Albania’s healthcare team

Dr. Bora Laska is another doctor who has joined the primary healthcare team in Lezhë through employment via the “Doctors for Albania” portal.

The Health Care Services Operator shared on social media a video message from Dr. Laska, who became part of the primary healthcare team in Lezhë County through the “Doctors for Albania” employment portal, CE Report quotes ATA.

The doctor said that after completing her studies in general medicine, she applied for employment through the “Doctors for Albania” portal.

"Currently, the second round of evaluation is underway as a doctor in the healthcare system. The application was very simple, done online. After uploading all the necessary documentation such as my diploma and license, I reached the selection stage. The process is very transparent, and the selection is based on a point-based system," she said.

Dr. Laska ended her message with an invitation to all medical professionals to join the healthcare system by applying through the “Doctors for Albania” portal, emphasizing that the entire procedure is simple, transparent, and merit-based.

In its announcement published today, the Health Care Services Operator also outlined the steps followed in selecting applicants through the “Doctors for Albania” portal.

The first step is the complete evaluation of the documentation by the Technical Secretariat to ensure compliance with all legal requirements for each applicant.

Then, the files are reviewed by the Applicant Evaluation Commission, which carefully analyzes the candidates' professional training, experience, and suitability for the job position. Those who successfully pass this stage are invited for an interview, where they are assessed fairly and equally.

During 2024 and up to March 31, 2025, a total of 345 doctors and 1,575 nurses have been employed transparently and on merit through the “Doctors for Albania” and “Nurses for Albania” portals.
