Pope Francis blasted the arms trade and made an appeal to "stop colonizing people with weapons" in his Angelus address on Saint Stephen's Day, CE Report quotes ANSA.

"Let us work for disarmament, let us work against hunger, against diseases, against child labor," he said.

The Argentine pontiff also called for "peace in the whole world, especially in war-torn Ukraine, Gaza, Israel, Myanmar, North Kivu, and many other countries at war."
