Actress Melia Kreiling took on the role of host at the fourth Change Makers IV conference, organised by Vogue Greece and Kathimerini, impressing audiences with her stage presence.

For the occasion, she wore a black creation by designer Markellos Polydoros and sported an eye-catching hairstyle, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

"It was an incredible honour for me to be trusted with hosting the event alongside all the guests. Our collaboration was flawless," she said after the conference.

She also highlighted the importance of the event, noting:

"All the guests, each in their respective field, gave us a framework for understanding fashion as it really is, rather than simply as something we see when walking down the street or looking at shop windows. It was wonderful to listen to all these people whom Vogue managed to bring together for us. I learned a lot from this experience."

Speaking to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) about her experience of taking on the challenge of hosting the conference, Kreiling explained that although she had previously presented award ceremonies, hosting a conference was an entirely new experience for her.

"Two remarkable women, Alexia Koroneou and Elis Kiss, invited me to their office and presented their vision. When an idea inspires confidence in me, I always say 'yes', because I understand that I can learn something new and gain experience in a field that we actors do not often work in," she said.

For Kreiling, hosting the event also carried personal significance.

"My mother was a magazine editor, so growing up I always had great respect for fashion. I felt that a beautiful chapter had come full circle: I was invited by two exceptional female editors who actively support women, while my mother was sitting among the audience and was very happy," she said.

Asked by Vogue Greece Editor-in-Chief Elis Kiss whether she enjoys fashion and experiments with it, the actress, known for her roles in Emily in Paris and The Borgias, said:

"When I am given the freedom and space to experiment, I have a wonderful time, as it connects with my identity as an actress. When, on the other hand, I feel constrained by a look that does not reflect who I am, I find it more challenging. However, I accept it because I understand the requirements of the role or the aesthetic."
