Spider-Man, The Odyssey lead Italian box office as new releases enter top 10

Spider-Man: Brand New Day remains at the top of the Cinetel box-office chart, with total earnings of €26,997,032 since its release on July 29, including €5,531,247 collected between August 6 and 9.

A total of 3,352,225 people in Italy have seen the film. It continues to compete with Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey, which ranks second and has grossed €44,219,093 after four weeks in theaters, including €3,970,449 this weekend, with total attendance reaching 5,302,544, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Rounding out the top three is newcomer Hokum, the horror film written and directed by Damian McCarthy, which earned €409,826 in five days.

The other new release, Ateez: Light the Way in Cinemas, a documentary about the South Korean music group of the same name, debuted in sixth place, taking €40,951 over four days.

Animated films continue to hold their ground. Minions & Monsters ranks fourth, earning €194,195 this weekend and €7,645,526 overall since July 1. Toy Story 5 is fifth, with €70,872 over the weekend and €9,192,837 since its release on June 18.

In seventh place is Michael, the film chronicling the rise of pop star Michael Jackson, which earned €37,148 this weekend and has grossed €25,714,368 during its 16 weeks in Italian theaters.

Taking eighth place, helped by its re-release in summer outdoor arenas, is Le città di pianura, which earned €34,526 this weekend and has taken €2,777,588 overall since its release on September 25, 2025.

In ninth place is the enduring The Devil Wears Prada 2, which has grossed €32,137,354 after 15 weeks in theaters, including €31,604 over the past five days.

Rounding out the top 10 is Family Therapy (Jamais sans mon Psy), the comedy directed by Arnaud Lemort, which earned €23,916 in five days and €214,262 after three weeks in theaters.

Overall, box-office receipts this weekend totaled €10,693,616, down 43 percent compared with the previous weekend.
