Katy Perry opens Sunny Hill Festival with spectacular show in Pristina
This year's Sunny Hill Festival has officially opened in Bërnicë, Pristina, attracting thousands of music fans from Kosovo and abroad.
The high level of interest in the festival caused long traffic jams on roads leading to the venue on the opening night, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
The highlight of the first evening was a performance by global superstar Katy Perry, who took to the main stage at around 10:30 p.m. She delivered a spectacular show featuring visual effects, choreography, and space-themed costumes.
The American singer appeared dressed as an astronaut, while acrobats on stage handed her the Kosovo flag. The moment was met with enthusiastic cheers from the audience and quickly became one of the night's most talked-about highlights.
"Hello, Pristina. Are you Albanians? Are you ready to celebrate with me?" Perry asked the crowd as she greeted thousands of fans, who sang along to her biggest hits throughout the concert.
One of the standout moments came when Perry waved the Kosovo flag during a stage sequence depicting the country's flag reaching the moon.
A 10-year-old girl named Era also fulfilled her dream by joining Katy Perry on stage to sing with the global star.
Before Perry's performance, Albanian singer Dhurata Dora energized the crowd with a performance that was warmly received by festivalgoers.
The festival will continue throughout the weekend with performances by internationally acclaimed artists, including Lewis Capaldi and Martin Garrix.
