Bad Bunny wax figure unveiled in Paris
A wax figure of globally renowned singer Bad Bunny was unveiled on Wednesday at the Musée Grévin in Paris, without the artist in attendance, as he was due to perform just hours later in Marseille, AFP reported, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
The wax figure depicts the Latin music star sitting on a plastic chair, wearing an unbuttoned shirt that reveals several tattoos and his signature straw hat. Beside him is an empty plastic chair, a reference to the cover of his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which has enjoyed major international success.
Unlike the museum's usual practice, the wax figure of Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was created without the artist's direct involvement. Instead, it was produced primarily using photographs and reference materials. The project took nearly seven months to complete.
"Given his schedule and extensive travel, he was not available," said the museum's general director, Yves Delhommeau.
The Musée Grévin "did everything possible" to ensure the Puerto Rican superstar would be represented among its collection of famous wax figures.
"He is currently the most-listened-to singer in the world. He is an extraordinary phenomenon, not only in music but also in culture," Delhommeau said, adding that the artist's political influence has also grown significantly.
Bad Bunny, 32, who performed the halftime show at this year's Super Bowl, has helped propel reggaeton and Latin trap to the top of international music charts.
Currently on a world tour, Bad Bunny was set to perform Wednesday evening at Stade Vélodrome before heading to Paris for concerts on Saturday and Sunday at Paris La Défense Arena, now officially renamed Plénitude Arena as of July 1, 2026.
