Albania launches Eurovision entry “Nan” ahead of Vienna contest
Albania’s Eurovision entry “Nan” was officially launched on its journey to Vienna at a ceremony organized by the Austrian Embassy and Albanian public broadcaster RTSH.
Performed by Alis Kallaci, the song will represent Albania at the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Austria, CE Report quotes ATA.
Ahead of the delegation’s departure, a send-off event took place at RTSH headquarters in Tirana, attended by Austrian Ambassador Monika Zach, who was received by RTSH Director General Eni Vasili.
Vasili expressed strong support for the entry, describing the moment as an important milestone and saying the song would carry the support of Albanians.
Kallaci won the 64th edition of Albania’s national song festival and is scheduled to perform 13th in the semi-final in Vienna on May 14.
The top 10 entries from each semi-final will advance to the grand final on May 16.
