Taylor Swift leads 2026 American Music Awards nominations
Taylor Swift, according to most estimates the all-time queen of the American Music Awards (AMAs), has strong chances of extending her historic lead this year.
The pop superstar leads the race for the 2026 AMAs with eight nominations, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
Four artists are tied in second place with seven nominations each: Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, Morgan Wallen, and Sombr.
Lady Gaga and Alex Warren follow closely with six nominations each. Artists with five nominations include Ella Langley, who is at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Latin group Fuerza Regida, Leon Thomas, and Zara Larsson.
Those competing in four categories include Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Playboi Carti, Tate McRae, and Tyla.
The awards ceremony will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25 and will be broadcast on CBS for the second year after a decade-long run on ABC, with Queen Latifah as host.
It will be the 52nd edition of the American Music Awards, produced by Dick Clark Productions, an institution created in the 1970s as an alternative to the Grammys.
The nominations are based on commercial performance, with the public voting for winners via the website and social media.
