Andrew Scott, Emily Blunt join romance drama adaptation
Andrew Scott is set to co-star with Emily Blunt in the film “Walk the Blue Fields”, based on the romantic short story of the same name by Claire Keegan.
According to Deadline, Netflix will co-produce the film with Compelling Pictures, Element Pictures (a subsidiary of Fremantle), and Ledbury Productions, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
Tom Cullen and Ciarán Hinds have also joined the cast.
John Crowley will direct the film in his home country of Ireland, from a screenplay by the multi-award-winning playwright and screenwriter Conor McPherson.
“Walk the Blue Fields” follows a woman on her wedding day who faces a painful decision as a love triangle from her past threatens to be revealed.
