Moldova unveils details of Eurovision 2026 National Final
Moldovans will find out on January 17 who will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest. The National Final will take place at Arena Chișinău, with ticket prices ranging from 150 to 450 lei.
After a one-year break, the Republic of Moldova returns to the competition, and on January 17, the artist who will represent the country at the Vienna-hosted edition will be selected. Sixteen artists qualified for the final following live auditions. The event will start at 7:00 p.m., with audience access allowed from 3:00 p.m., CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
Artists who have left their mark on Eurovision history will take the stage, including Zdob și Zdub, SunStroke Project, Nelly Ciobanu, Natalia Barbu, Cristina Scarlat, DoReDos, Aliona Moon, Paula Seling and Jamala, alongside other well-known performers, promising a memorable show.
This year’s edition brings several firsts: the jury will consist of 20 members, including five international experts, and for the first time the organization is being coordinated by Serghei Orlov and Roman Burlaca.
As reported by CE Report, the year 2026 marks 70 years since the launch of Eurovision and 20 participations by the Republic of Moldova. The country’s best result in the contest was achieved in 2017, when SunStroke Project finished third with the song Hey Mamma.
