After the great Christmas success of Home Alone, which brought 180,000 viewers to theaters, 2026 will mark the return of Nexo Studios – Back to Cult, with new iconic titles brought back to the big screen on special occasions, offering audiences a unique opportunity to rediscover them in their original cinematic dimension.

The season will begin on February 9, 10, 11, and 14, to celebrate Valentine’s Day, with Pretty Woman.

The 1990 romantic comedy, directed by Garry Marshall and starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, achieved global success with more than 463 million dollars at the box office and will be shown here in a restored 4k version, CE Report quotes ANSA.

“The love story between Vivian and Edward has become a timeless classic,” a statement explains, “capable of transcending decades and creating real trends, as demonstrated by the 2018 Broadway musical signed by Bryan Adams, Jim Vallance, and Jerry Mitchell.”

Advance ticket sales will open on January 14, exactly one month before Valentine’s Day.

The series will continue in spring with celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of Moulin Rouge!, the visionary 2001 film directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor: “a work that redefined the contemporary musical through a bold mix of pop language and musical reinterpretations.”

As reported by CE Report, set in bohemian Paris at the end of the 19th century, “the film weaves real and fictional characters — including Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec — into a story dominated by four key words that turned it into a manifesto: Freedom, Beauty, Truth, and Love. Presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, Moulin Rouge! marked the rebirth of the cinematic musical, winning two Academy Awards for production design and costumes.”

The season will conclude with another title that will be announced soon.

The Nexo Studios – Back to Cult series is distributed exclusively in Italy by Nexo Studios in partnership with MYmovies, with media partners Radio Deejay and ArteSettima.
