The “Bucharest Opera Christmas Market”, whose program includes concerts, recitals, and classical music performances as well as workshops for children, will open on Saturday on the esplanade of the Bucharest National Opera (ONB).

According to a press release from the Bucharest Center for Creation, Art and Tradition, issued on Tuesday, the fair—organized by the institution with support from the Ministry of Culture and ONB—transforms the Opera’s esplanade into a festive space where music and decorations create a unique cultural experience, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy culinary delights.

The scenography of the Bucharest Christmas Market is created by scenographer Dragoș Buhagiar and scenography assistant Vladimir Iuganu, both for Constitution Square and the Opera esplanade.

The Bucharest Opera Christmas Market features an expanded lineup of events, concerts, and activities. Residents and tourists will enjoy performances by some of the most beloved artists of the moment. The program includes concerts, recitals, and classical music shows, including productions from the ONB repertoire, as well as live broadcasts of Opera performances.

On Saturday, the program includes three children’s workshops and performances by the Three Tenors of Iași, Ana Cebotari and Maria Cazacu, the children's choir Sunetul muzicii (“The Sound of Music”), Cristina Manoliu Săvulescu, and Irina Sârbu Band with Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Damian Drăghici & Cristina Stroe will also take the stage.

On Sunday, the program begins with the children’s show Enescu’s Childhood – Classic Is Fantastic, followed by a special edition of the workshop The Magic of Childhood in Colors. In the afternoon, additional children’s workshops take place, and in the evening Breeze do Brasil and Dreams & Drums by Cici Rogojan will perform. The show Nicholas’ Christmas, featuring Alin Stoica & Stephanie Radu, CapoD'Opera Band & Light Quartet, will also be presented.
